How frequently are sessions offered?
My Learning Farm works with students twice weekly in 45-minute 1:1 sessions. Academic sessions begin in mid-August thru May, taking typical school breaks.

2. What academic areas does My Learning Farm offer to support students?
My Learning Farm offers student-centered academic support using evidence-based curriculums and methodologies in reading, writing, math and spelling. One academic area is supported in a 45 min session.
My Learning Farm also offers assessments in reading, writing, spelling and math as well as 504/IEP advocacy support. Come join My Learning Farm on Fridays for farm classes for students ages 5-10 in 8-week sessions in Spring and Fall for groups up to 20 kiddos. My Learning Farm also holds 6-week summer academic support in reading, writing, math or spelling.

3. What is the commitment?
Families sign an academic year contract with My Learning Farm from August-May for twice weekly 1:1 45-minute sessions for one specific academic area.

4. Are supplies and homework provided?
Yes, My Learning Farm provides each student with academic at-home supports, materials, supplies, decodable readers, homework sheets and other supplies.

5. How do you determine my child’s academic level?
My Learning Farm administers placement assessments in reading, writing, math and/or spelling in order to determine the just-right-fit for each student to begin delivering meaningful academic support services.

6. What areas of math are supported?
The operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions across the four operations are supported for students grades k-8. Math support includes math fact fluency as well as multi-level explicit instruction and practice through games, rote problem solving and math supports.

7. What is an Orton-Gillingham structured literacy program and how does it work?
An Orton-Gillingham structured literacy program breaks down the over 300 phonics rules of the English language into small manageable chunks to support student mastery. Learning is incremental, multi-sensory, foundational and includes practice with games, decodable readers, worksheets and more.

8. What other things does My Learning Farm offer to students and families?
My Learning Farm utilizes evidence-based curriculums and methodologies in reading, writing, math and spelling. One academic area is supported in a 45 min session.

9. What forms of payment do you accept and how does billing work?
My Learning Farm academic contracts include the terms and billing policies. My Learning Farm accepts charter homeschool PO’s and private pay students via Venmo. My Learning Farm is a vendor for: South Sutter Charter School, Sequoia Grove Charter School, Harvest Ridge Charter School, Feather River Charter School, Visions in Education, Clarksville Charter School and Cottonwood Charter School. Families are billed monthly for services.

10. What are My Learning Farm’s rates?
Rates vary from $65-$100 per session billed monthly, depending on academic the area, student needs, materials, etc. Rates are subject to change.
